Terry Lynn Wascher

Posted

On Monday, May 31, 2021, Terry, loving wife and mother of two daughters passed away peacefully at the age 74. Terry was born on April 19, 1947 in Centralia Illinois, to Robert and Phyllis (Scott) Dunn.
Terry married David Wascher on August 28,1965 in Downers Grove Illinois. Terry worked accounting jobs for Nike, St.Charles (IL) Chamber of Commerce, and Lenox Awards. As her battle with Multiple Sclerosis made working too difficult, Terry turned her full-time attention to caring for David and her daughters, as well as doting on her five granddaughters, Sarah, Hannah, Alexandria, Bethany, and Isabelle.
In 2004, Terry and David moved from Illinois to Sun City, West Arizona to enjoy retirement. In Arizona, Terry enjoyed many activities and made many friends in book clubs, playing Mahjong and Bridge and attending community and neighborhood functions with friends. She was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church and found great joy in the church services and the fellowship with other members. Terry fought Multiple Sclerosis with great courage and zeal, with that fight ending peacefully in her own home.
Terry was preceded in death by her father, Robert Dunn; her mother, Phyllis (Scott) Dunn; and her sisters, Barbara Folsom and Jone Meisenheimer. She is survived by her husband, David; her daughters, Kellie Stern (Dave) and Melissa Soncek (Kipp); granddaughters: Sarah, Hannah, Alexandria, Bethany, and Isabelle; her sister, Constance Nicola; her brother, Scott Dunn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be planned in the fall to celebrate Terry’s life. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org.
