The 7th annual “Taste of Surprise” fundraising event will take place 4-8 p.m. Saturday, April 11 inside Surprise Stadium, 15930 N. Bullard Ave.

This year’s event will again showcase signature food tastings from approximately 50 local restaurants and eateries. Many favorites from 2019 are already signed up to return, including two-time People’s Choice winner Vogue Bistro, last year’s Best of Show winner The Victory Bistro at The Park at Surprise, Most Creative Fare winner Birt’s Bistro at Benevilla, Rotary Choice winner Booty’s Wings, Burgers and Beer, and Legacy Award winners Nothing Bundt Cake and Tree of Oil.

Besides the food offerings this year there will be a new beer, wine and spirits garden, a YMCA Kidz Zone, an expanded car show as well as cooking competitions and demonstrations. Four local bands will play throughout the night on different stages inside the stadium grounds.

Tickets on sale now at tasteofsurprise.com/tickets or from any member of the Rotary Club of Surprise. Adult tickets are $25, and children under 12 are $10.

One Step Beyond (OSBI) a Surprise area non-profit, whose mission is to supply those with intellectual disabilities the opportunities required and desired to grow in skills, personal relationships, and inclusion in their community, will host a VIP Experience area complete with a special menu, drinks and music. VIP admission is $75 for the evening, and includes admittance into the Taste of Surprise festivities.

The Rotary Club of Surprise meets the first and third Thursdays of each month. The club hosts two major annual fundraisers: The Taste of Surprise and the Fore the Kids Golf Tournament. Proceeds raised from these events support local education and service work with other non-profit organizations locally and internationally.

In 2019, the club was involved in 32 service projects.
