Surprise kids have a chance to sign up for the city Parks and Recreation’s winter youth sports leagues this month.

Online registration runs through Saturday, Nov. 21 for basketball, kickball and flag football leagues, as well as camps, classes, esports tournaments and tennis programs.

Late registration begins Sunday, Nov. 22.

Here is a breakdown for various registrations:

Youth basketball, kickball and flag football leagues

Recreational leagues for boys and girls ages 4 to 17 with age determined on or before March 31.

The winter season starts in early January and runs until March. Games are played on Saturdays and/or weeknights. Practice times are up to the volunteer coach and are usually one hour once a week (5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.).

Sports skills classes and camps

Surprise is offering a variety of six-week skills classes for boys and girls ages 6 to 15.
