Surprise students shine in Unified Sports

The Valley Vista High School Unified track and field the celebrates winning the AIA state title in May.

All three Dysart Unified School District high schools saw their Special Olympics athletes place in the top five at the Arizona Interscholastic Association Unified Track & Field State Championship.
Valley Vista High School took first place, Shadow Ridge High School took second and Willow Canyon High School took fifth.
Valley Vista student Xavier Simpson was named the Unified Athlete of the Year by the AIA. Valley Vista coach Becky Milobar also earned honors.
Shadow Ridge High School is at 10909 N. Perryville Road.
Valley Vista High School is at 15550 N. Parkview Place.
Willow Canyon High School is at 17901 W. Lundberg St.
