The McDonald’s at Litchfield and Waddell roads in Surprise raised $2,470 for local schools during its annual McTeacher’s Night Challenge in April.
The McTeacher’s Night was an in-restaurant, drive-thru and mobile ordering event with a portion of the sales during the two-hour period benefiting each school.
Three elementary schools participated in the Northwest Valley McTeacher’s Night Challenge: Marley Park Elementary, Arizona Charter Academy and Surprise Elementary.
Surprise Elementary placed first in the McTeacher’s Night Challenge receiving an additional $500 donation for a total of $1,144. Arizona Charter Academy placed second receiving an additional $250 donation for a total of $851.
“We were delighted to host these fundraising opportunities with in-restaurant, drive-thru and mobile ordering to help our local schools,” Chris Carney, the owner of this McDonald’s, stated in a news release. “Our Litchfield and Waddell McDonald’s takes great pride in giving back to the Surprise community.”
