Surprise P&Z approves another self-storage facility

Posted

The Surprise Planning and Zoning Commission approved a site plan for a new self-storage facility in the city, this time in the northern section.

Commissioners Oct. 19 approved a site plan to allow it south of Grand Avenue and west of 163rd Avenue.

The proposal includes three storage buildings.

Building 1 is a 50,200 square-foot, two-story building, consisting of 500 climate-controlled spaces and 38 spaces that are not climate-controlled.

Building 2 is an 11,150 square foot single-story building with 25 climate-controlled spaces and 31 spaces that aren’t climate-controlled.

Building 3 is a 3,900 square foot single-story building consisting of 20 climate-controlled spaces.

The matter will now go to the Surprise City Council for final approval.
