Surprise Police start annual holiday toy drive

Surprise Police Department is teaming up with local businesses and community members to bring holiday joy to children in need this year.

Anyone wishing to participate in the department’s annual toy drive can donate a new, unwrapped toy in the manufacturer’s original packaging through Dec. 18.

There are 14 participating locations. Donors are asked to bring gifts to any of the toy collection boxes:

• Surprise Police Department, 14250 W. Statler Plaza, Suite 103.
• Irish Wolfhound Restaurant & Pub, 16811 N. Litchfield Road.
• Sun Village Community Center, 14300 W. Bell Road.
• Sunflower RV Resort, 16501 N. El Mirage Road.
• Arizona Traditions, 17221 N. Citrus Road.
• Coldwell Banker Real Estate, 19509 N. Sunrise Blvd., Suite 8.

• Spencer’s Place (coffee bistro), 15341 W. Waddell Road, Suite B101.
• Walmart, 13770 W. Bell Road.
• Kingswood Family Chiropractic, 15508 W Bell Road, Suite 105.
• Sun City Grand Sonoran Plaza, 19789 N. Remington Drive.
• Sun City Grand Cimarron Center, 17100 W. Clearview Drive.
• Sun City Grand Adobe Center, 19775 N. Remington Drive.
• Vista de la Montana Independent Senior Living, 18510 N. Parkview Plaza.
• Animal Medical Center of Surprise, 13839 W. Bell Road, Suite 109.

The department’s goal is to help as many children as possible in the community who otherwise would go without this holiday season.
