Surprise Police Department  detectives arrested a 28-year-old man Wednesday for having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Omar Santana was booked into the Maricopa County Jail for sexual conduct with a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor, furnishing harmful material  to a minor and luring a minor for sexual exploitation, police said.

According to police, a criminal investigation found multiple incidents occurred over several weeks.

Satana, police said, also provided illegal drugs to the girl.

“I am very proud of our police officers and detectives who worked tirelessly to gather the facts and evidence necessary to get this predator off the streets of our community,” Police Chief Benny Piña said.
