The Surprise Pickleball Courts will be the site of three upcoming pickleball tournaments, the first of which will be held at the end of January.
The first pickleball tournament of 2025 in Surprise will be the Tommy Wong Memorial Pickleball Tournament, held Jan. 31 to Feb. 3.
Hosted by the Surprise Pickleball Association and sanctioned by the United States Amateur Pickleball Association, this double-elimination tournament features women’s doubles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles and senior mixed doubles. Register at Pickleballtournaments.com.
The Multiple Sclerosis Charity Pickleball Tournament is the second of the SPA and USAPA sanctioned double-elimination tournaments featuring women’s doubles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles, and senior mixed doubles. The Battle of the Paddles Pickleball Tournament is a SPA double-elimination tournament featuring women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles. The event runs April 5 and 6. For details, go to Pickleballtournaments.com.
Spectators can watch the tournaments for free at the Surprise Pickleball Courts, 14534 W. Tierra Buena Lane. The 16-court venue is one of the area’s top pickleball centers, hosting pickleball enthusiasts of all ages.
Open pickleball courts will be closed for open play throughout the course of these events.
