Community playground expected to reopen Saturday

Posted

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department has begun work to install new lighting around the play area at the Surprise Community Park playground.

The work will result in the closure of the playground just south of the Surprise Community Lake from today until the weekend.

City officials said the lighting enhancement is designed to improve visibility and extend the hours of safe play for families.

The project timeline has the park reopening again on Saturday, June 21.
