Those looking for somewhere for your kids to spend winter break have an option in the northwest Valley.

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department offers a two-week winter break camp for youth currently enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Campers can enjoy daily activities, arts and crafts, games and sports.

Winter Break Camp runs Dec.26 through Jan. 5.

Camp  is offered  from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m Tuesdays through Fridays in those two weeks at Sierra Montana Recreation Center, 14861 N. Spring Lane.

Surprise resident registration began Nov. 27. Cost is $30 per day, with a $10 per child registration fee.

Non-resident registration begins Dec. 4. Cost is $34 per day, with a $30 per child registration fee

To download a registration packet, visit surpriseaz.gov/Recreation and click on the “Break Camps” category.

A completed packet must be submitted to the Parks and Recreation office at 15960 N. Bullard Ave. to finalize registration.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

The program will fill quickly, so families are encouraged to register early to ensure a spot.
