Surprise dog park to close for improvements

Park to shut for 3 days during work

Posted

Planned improvements at the Surprise Community Dog Park will force it to close for three days next week.

City officials said crews will install new curbing and pavers and expanding concrete for a future shade structure at the current bench sites.

The large and small dog areas will be closed Wednesday, June 7 to Friday, June 9. Both sections  of the dog park will reopen the morning of Saturday, June 10.

During this time, dog owners can use Dick McComb Dog Park in the Surprise Farms Community Park.

However, uses should note Dick McComb is closed for regularly scheduled maintenance from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 8.
