Shuttles will help bring music fans to the festival

The city of Surprise has released the policies and procedures for the Bases and Brews Music Fest, which kicks off today at Mark Coronado Park.

Here is your guide for road closures, parking, policies and tickets:

 Festival Hours

  • Friday, March 24: 4 p.m. to midnight 
  • Saturday, March 25: 10 a.m. to midnight
  • Sunday, March 26: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Concert Times

Local music throughout the day Saturday and Sunday and national headliners as follows:

  • Chris Lane: 7 to 8:15 p.m. Saturday
  • Andy Grammer: 8:45 to 10 p.m. Saturday
  • Lovelytheband: 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
  • Walk the Moon: 7:45 to 9 p.m.

Parking

Parking for the Bases and Brews Music Fest is free.

There are lots available throughout the Surprise Recreation Campus with shuttles on Saturday and Sunday.

ADA parking is available in the Surprise Aquatic Center lot off Tierra Buena Lane.

Shuttles

On-site shuttles will drive you from various parking lots, closer to the event entrance.

Off-site shuttles are also available and will stop at each location approximately every 30 minutes.

Both on-site and off-site shuttles are free, and run from 4 p.m. until 30 minutes following the conclusion of the event.

Off-site Shuttle Locations:

  • Red Lobster (Surprise Marketplace) - 13709 W. Bell Road.
  • The Fields at Countryside - 15263 W. Greenway Road.
  • The Vista Center for the Arts - 15660 N. Parkview Place.
  • The Vitamin Shoppe (Surprise Towne Center) - 13714 W. Bell Road.

Road Closures

For the safety of pedestrians and attendees, there are road closures in place through Tuesday, March 28.

  • Bullard Avenue from Paradise to Tierra Buena lanes
  • Buck O’Neil Way from Paradise Lane to Bullard Avenue

Promotions

There are Spring Training games at Surprise Stadium on Friday, March 24 at 1:05 p.m. and Saturday, March 25 at 12:05 p.m. Be sure to plan ahead to avoid traffic and get a parking spot.

Buy a ticket to Friday’s Giants vs. Royals  game and get free admission to that day’s festival using a printed or digital baseball ticket.

Purchase tickets for the Padres vs. Rangers game on Saturday and get free admission to the festival to see Grammer and Lane perform.

Tickets

Regular-price general admission tickets for ages 5 through 12 are $20; tickets for ages 13 and older are $30; and VIP tickets are $150. Festival entry for children aged 4 and under is free.

Availability and ticket pricing are subject to change. Tickets are valid for one-day entry.

Rides

Ride tickets and all-day ride passes for the carnival midway must be purchased separately.

A one-day wristband for unlimited rides may be purchased in advance online for $32 or at the festival for $37.

Policies

In an effort to enhance public safety, there is a bag policy.

Non-clear bags can be up to 5-by-8 inches in size. Clear bags can be up to 20-by-15-by-9 inches.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection upon entering. All individuals and bags are subject to search by event security.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed, with the exception of one factory-sealed water bottle per person and medical or infant needs.

Pets are not permitted at the festival, except for service animals.

This event is a 100% cashless experience.
