The Sun City Grand Drama and Comedy Club will be performing the musical comedy, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” during two weekends in February at the Sonoran Plaza.

Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Feb. 16, 17, 18, 24 and 25; and at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 18 and 3 p.m. Feb. 19 and 26 at the Sun City Grand Sonoran Plaza theater, 19753 N. Remington Drive.

Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at granddrama.com, SunCityGrand.com or in person at the activities desk (open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays) also in the Sonoran Plaza. Some tickets may also be available at the door 30 minutes before showtime.

This musical ran off-Broadway for more than 5,000 performances, making it the second longest running show in off-Broadway history.

The celebration of the mating game takes on the truth and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.”

Through sketches and songs, Act 1 explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act 2 reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws, trips in the family car, and pick up techniques of the geriatric set.

This hilarious review pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, “Say, what are you doing Saturday night?”
