The Grand Ladies Golf Association is sponsoring a March 2 charity tournament, which will benefit four local groups: Luke Spouses Club, Surprise Police Department Victim Assistance Unit, Heart2Heart Animal Rescue and Chance Shelter.

Feb. 9 was the kickoff to introduce the charities to the members, who responded by bringing items on the wish lists as well as making cash donations.

Lisa Paist with the GLGA stated the tournament is for members and their guests and the 190-player field is already full.

She said the group has collected many items on the charities’ wish lists as well as cash donations.
