Sterling Grove to host charity duck races

Event to raise money for Phoenix Children’s Hospital

The growing Sterling Grove community in west Surprise is hosting its first big community event this month.

The first annual Rubber Duck Race is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at the new Toll Brothers community with big prizes up for grabs.

Money raised from the duck races will benefit the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Enjoy a day of music, food and drinks, games, races and fun at the northeast corner of Savannah Drive and Greenwich Boulevard.

Contestants can purchase and decorate the ducks the day of the event at the Phoneix Children’s Hospital booth.

The cost is $5 per duck or $25 for six ducks.

The first-place winner will receive $500. Second place will collect $250, while third place nets $100.
