Sinkhole in Surprise closes part of Cotton Lane

Due to a sinkhole, a section of southbound Cotton Lane closed Wednesday afternoon just south of the Surprise Farms Loop South intersection and north of Greenway Road.

According to city sources, repairs are expected to take several days.

Barriers are in place to deter traffic. Southbound traffic on Cotton Lane may turn east or west at the intersection of Surprise Farms Loop South as a detour.

Traffic heading northbound on Cotton Lane from Greenway Road is unrestricted.
