Safe swimming programming starts April 30 in Surprise

Surprise Swims Safe is a new family event promoting year round safety.

The city’s aquatics team will showcase safe swimming techniques, tips, and hints along with other safety features around the home from 5 to 7 p.m. April 30 at the Surprise Aquatic Center, 15831 N Bullard Ave.

With city pools opening on May 22, Surprise wants to ensure that every family receives the best water safety tips and information so they and loved ones can have safe water fun this summer.

Surprise guests will attend. Open swim will be available during the event. Cost is $2 for residents and $5 for non-residents. This is an entry fee event therefore each person is required to have a ticket to attend.
