PacWest to return to Surprise tennis complex

PacWest to return to Surprise tennis complex

The 2022 PacWest men’s and women’s tennis championships will be returning to Surprise as teams from across the country compete for the title.

The Surprise Sports and Tourism Department in partnership with the Pacific West and Biola University will serve as hosts to the 20 qualifying teams and more than 180 student-athletes. 

Competitions will run April 20 through 23 at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex, 14469 W. Paradise Lane. 

PacWest Women’s Tennis Championships

The women’s PacWest championship tournament will begin Wednesday and continue through Friday, concluding with the championship match on Saturday, April 23.

Women’s Championship Schedule

  • Wednesday, April 20: Women’s Seeds 5 thru 12, 9 a.m.
  • Thursday, April 21: Dual Matches, 1 p.m.; Consolation Matches, 5 p.m.
  • Friday, April 22: Dual Semifinal and Consolation Semifinals, 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 23: Women’s Championship Match, 1 p.m.

Qualifying Women’s Teams: Academy of Art, Azusa Pacific, Biola, Cal State LA, Colorado Mesa, Concordia, Dominican, Fresno Pacific, Hawai`i Hilo, Hawai`i Pacific, MSU Denver, Point Loma

  • Friday, April 22: Dual Semifinal and Consolation Semifinals, 9 a.m.

The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex will be open to the public at 8 a.m. each day, and admission is free.
