OUAZ makes NAIA Fab 4 for first time

Spirit playing for national championship this weekend

OUAZ has made it to the NAIA men's basketball Fab 4.

The seventh-seeded Spirit beat Montana Tech 76-58 on  March 15 to advance to the semifinals of the  NAIA Men's Basketball Championship tournament.

OUAZ, which won the Cramer Quadrant, will now face the College of Idaho, the top seed in the Naismith Quadrant for a chance to play for the new school's first basketball national championship.

The semifinal game will tipoff at 3 p.m. (Arizona time) on Friday, March 17.

The game will be video streamed at NAIANetwork.com.

The winner will advance to the national championship game against either Georgetown (Kentucky) or Indiana Tech.

The title tilt is scheduled for 5 p.m. (Arizona time) on Saturday, March 18. The game will be televised on ESPN3.

So far, OUAZ  has beaten Baker (Kansas), Oklahoma Wesleyan, Southeastern (Florida) and Montana Tech to make it to the semifinals.
