Nominations open for Outstanding Latino Teacher Awards

$20K in cash prizes will be awarded to four winning teachers

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is accepting nominations for the 22nd Annual Esperanza Latino Teacher Awards, presented by Cox Communications and SRP.

After a statewide search, four winning teachers will be selected and honored at a special awards virtual ceremony at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 28. CPLC will present a $5,000 cash award to each honoree.

Since 1988, CPLC has recognized hundreds of outstanding teachers.

Nominees for this year’s awards must meet the following criteria: Inspire students of all backgrounds to learn; play an active role in their school and community; possess a valid Arizona Teaching Certificate; and teach at a state-approved or accredited school in Arizona.

Nominations must be received before 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28.
