Next AZ Humanities Speaker Series set for April 14

A local expert from Arizona Humanities’ AZ Speaks program will present on the following topic: "Lives of Arizonans from Memoirs and Fiction" by Jim Turner from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 14.

Next AZ Humanities Speaker Series set for April 14

Experience stories of Arizona history and culture through a virtual speaker event presented by the Surprise Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission in partnership with Arizona Humanities.

A local expert from Arizona Humanities’ AZ Speaks program will present on the following topic: "Lives of Arizonans from Memoirs and Fiction" by Jim Turner from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 14.

The presentation gives audiences a personal understanding of what life was like for Native Americans and pioneer immigrants. Arizona pioneers have told their stories through diaries, letters and memoirs.

The presetation draws from those writing and includes historia photographs and artwork.
