Letters: Willow Canyon baseball coaches were right to discipline player

Posted

I coached Little League and Teener baseball in the Midwest for many years.

It sounds like this one (Willow Canyon High School) player was a big problem and should have been kicked off the team much earlier.

I think the quality of schools and discpline in the Midwest far exceeds schools elsewhere.

We did experience occasional players who were more tough to coach and skipped practice. They would only get to play, minimum two innings, which got the parents attention and soon resolved.

These two coaches (at WCHS) should have had a chance to state their stories. They seem to be good people.
