Letters: Sanders has qualities for reelection

Posted

We are writing in support of David Sanders for District 5 councilman.

We met David when we moved into Surprise three years ago. We chose Surprise for its beauty, growing population (with the promise of added shopping and restaurant choices), availability of quality medical and health facilities, scheduled community events and sporting facilities.

Upon meeting David Sanders, it is immediately obvious that David cares for those around him. He takes the time to listen to concerns, asks appropriate questions, and finds resolutions to issues if/when needed. David is friendly, outgoing and easy to talk to. David welcomed us into his neighborhood and made sure we found everything we needed to be successful during our time of transition.

We quickly realized David has a heart for Surprise and those who live here. He is driven by passion to serve those around him and committed to improving the lives of all within District 5 and the city of Surprise. During the nine years that David Sanders has been a resident of Surprise, he has worked in the banking world and knows/understands the intricacies of loans, budgets and spending wisely.

As a family man, David has a heart for the families of Surprise. His passion is to develop areas of interest for families. David has spent five years working with the Community and Recreation Advisory Committee on building programs and planning events for all ages.

He agrees that the Downtown area needs development to enhance the socialization of our teenagers and our seniors. Transportation is problematic for all people, increasingly so for seniors.

David understands that education is primary and growing jobs in our area will strengthen Surprise. David has the leadership skills to grow the community while providing the framework needed to support each endeavor. Please consider David Sanders for District 5 councilman.
