Letters: Sanders checks all the boxes for D5 election

Posted

It takes special individuals to start the spark, to light the fire, to support and raise our children’s expectations for themselves, and to never give up on them.

No matter what the challenges might be, every one of us who are in that position right now, are here because at some point, somebody did that for us.

I met Councilman David Sanders a year ago at one of my daughter’s special needs events. We sat and talked after the event about what the city could do to better support our special needs families and those with different abilities.

Part of that discussion was the need to connect the many different organizations that are here in Surprise, who are doing incredible work for our children and young adults with different needs, and to be able to get all of us together, on the same page, supporting one another.

In one short year, I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Councilman David Sanders, reaching out to organizations such as One Step Beyond, Rise Services and Blue Mountain Developmental Programs to name a few.

Councilman Sanders has been engaged and supportive of every event that I have worked on with others on behalf of our special needs community, and I truly appreciate his effort and commitment in the area.

Please support Councilman David Sanders of District 5, as our great city of Surprise needs talented and caring individuals such as David, and with Councilman Sanders’s help, our community can achieve great things.
