Letters: It's an 'honor' to support Cline

Posted

It is an honor to write this letter of recommendation for Alyson (Aly) Cline.

Aly has been a staunch supporter of the mission of Dysart Community Center since the day we met. Her insight and enthusiasm for education, reading and access to educational materials has been such an incredible help to our families.

Aly knows people, she remembers what you need, and helps to make introductions and connections in the community. Her passion is in creating successful partnerships so that we can improve our communities in practical and achievable ways. Alyson understands diversity and respects individuals from all walks of life.

I am proud to recommend Alyson based on my personal experience working with her for over three years providing educational supplies for our low-income families. Aly helped us to provide brand new English as a Second Language supplies to students and tutors who could not afford course materials. She assisted us in receiving calculators, workbooks and supplies for our GED program and our citizenship program.

Alyson also assisted us in getting critical reading materials for our adult and children’s programs. This helped level the playing field for all our students.

Alyson’s commitment to improve her community is demonstrated each day with examples of the impact her work has on those with little to no practical resources. Her dedication has helped our children improve their outcomes in school, improve their self-esteem and ability to become constructive citizens in the community.

We are so privileged to have Alyson’s generous support in our mission to help empower families with the tools and skills necessary to improve their lives and build self-sufficiency. Our structured developmental programs provide opportunities for learning and growth — creating stronger prospects for success in school, work and life.
