Given this pandemic, which has adversely impacted all of our lives, it’s important that we keep our eyes on things that are important — one of which is providing our children an excellent educational system that produces high-quality, student graduates which helps them be successful in this ever-changing world.
Fortunately, we live near the largest fighter wing in the United States Air Force, which greatly contributes to the future of airpower. Luke Air Force Base continues to have a significant impact on our national security and our local economy.
However, it should be noted that almost 90% of Luke’s military families live off base and are looking for outstanding schools for their children in vibrant communities. In order to continue to attract new home owners and take care of our current residents, we must maintain a first-class educational system in our community.
Dysart Unified School District is an “A-rated” district and one of the best in the region. While it continues to effectively manage within its limited budget, without the Dysart override approval, the district will be forced to make dramatic cuts, which will adversely impact the quality of education.
