Letters: Cline has shown she has what it takes to lead

Posted

Alyson Cline cares about Surprise and will work very hard to make this city the best it can be.

She has served on the Disabilities Commission for the city of Surprise and in Sun City Grand been a member of both the Long Range Planning Committee and the Financial Advisory Committee.

For nine years she coached T-ball and was an official scorekeeper for our city’s tournaments. That is no small achievement, it’s hot out there. She participated and led the American Cancer’s Relay for Life in Surprise. She helped to bring the community together to support cancer survivors and to bring awareness to people to help prevent cancer through good behavior.

When you think about the future of Surprise, you must think about our schools and our children. This has been Aly’s main concern for years. She has been the president of the Friends of the Surprise Libraries for eight years. The organization has given back to the community over $650.000.

That money has been donated back to the libraries, teachers, and schools to help the children of Surprise. Education, especially reading is important to Aly. If children can read well, they can communicate better. If they can communicate better, they can be more successful. They can grow up to be better citizens in Surprise.

My list of what Aly has accomplished is hardly complete, I urge you to vote for her. Her opponent has no record of service to Surprise. What in the world does 40 years of executive volunteering mean?

Do we reward three years in our city without any service to our city? I think not. Vote for Aly Cline.
