Kids invited to hang at WHAM on first Saturday
Posted
WHAM Art Gallery will host its Kids First Saturday of the month featuring arts and crafts (ages 8 to 12).
The next session is from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at WHAM, 16560 W. Dysart Road.
The group participates in small arts and crafts projects, with a different medium each month, consisting of either watercolors, mixed media, painting, crafts or small projects.
The Sept. 5 project will be a recycled hanging planter. All supplies will be provided. Instructors are professional WHAM artist volunteers or an occasional guest artist.
At each arts and craft workshop your child will have an arts and crafts project to bring home. Only a $5 registration fee is required per child, thanks to sponsorships, donations and volunteers for the WHAM kids art programs.
A minimum of four participants is required for the class. Seating is limited to only 10 students and each student will have their own table and be six feet apart from the other tables.
All health and safety guidelines will be in practice to keep your children safe and healthy during this time.
Kids need to register online to be sure the art instructor has adequate supplies.
