It was another amazing month serving as your mayor and I am grateful for the opportunity! Just over a year ago, having the idea of running for mayor, being elected and now turning campaign initiatives into action is such an incredible experience. My top priorities in the first 100 days are strategic planning, public safety, school safety and transportation. I have been working hard with council and staff laying the groundwork for success in each of those areas. I’ve also had the opportunity to connect with more residents, businesses and organizations throughout the city, which only reinforces how truly special this community is. 

The Council and I also kicked off our strategic planning sessions, developing our vision for the future of Surprise. It was a great meeting of sharing priorities and gaining a better understanding of the goals for each district and the city as a whole. 

We have so many inspiring residents doing amazing work in our city and I encourage everyone to get active in our community. Together we will make Surprise an even better place to live, work and play.
