Our loving wife and mother passed away on December 22, 2019 in Sun City West, AZ. She was born February 2, 1932 on the family farm in Forksville, PA and raised by parents Nelson and Laura Mullen. She followed in her father’s footsteps and received her teaching degree from West Chester State Teachers College in West Chester, PA. She taught at schools in New Jersey, but left her teaching career to become a successful District Sales Manager for Coppercraft Guild of Taunton, MA managing a team of 30 sales personnel.
Jane married Walter J. Schaible in February 1953 and together they had three sons, Mark (Patti), Kirk, and Scott. She later joined the family business of Schaible Enterprises, Inc as Vice President and Secretary of the corporation.
Jane retired to Sun City West in 1980 but remained active working part time at the former First Federal Bank and also the former Pri-Merit Bank. She spent several years at Sunshine Service in Sun City and was active in Square Dancing, helped form the current Clay Club, was past president of the Shuffleboard Club, helped instruct beginners with the Toy-Ki Silvercraft Club as well as being active with her church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Hubert and John and three sisters, Dorothy, Mary, and Alice. She leaves behind her husband of 67 years and her three sons.
A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. on January 9, 2020 at Palm West Community Church in Sun City West, AZ. Donations in her name may be made to the church or Hospice of the Valley.
