Ground Floor Artists, 13343 W. Foxfire Drive, Suite 3, features regular classes in different art forms, including two coming up in the next five days:

• Fabulous Muse, a mixed media class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.. This class is designed for the absolute beginner to intermediate artists and makers. Cost is $45 and includes all supplies needed for two finished 8-by-10 or 10-by-10 canvases. Learn how to paint fabulous muse faces using watercolor, acrylic, and a variety of water soluble paint mediums on watercolor paper. The class goes over the basics of portraiture and then how to create a muse. Learn how to use acrylic matte medium to create works of art using scrapbook papers, recycled book pages and ephemera collage elements and printed inspirational quotes or sayings to complete your own individual works or art.
• Ultra Beginner Oil Painting is from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10. The class teaches how to start painting with oil based paints. Cost is  $30 and includes all supplies. Learn how to place oil paints on a pallet, prime a canvas, use safe solvents, use pallet knives and brushes, etc. This 2-hour class will get participants going.
