Free webinar to examine prayer practices

“Imaging God, Imaging Ourselves: The Exercise of Prayer” will be the topic of a free webinar from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 14 at Desert Garden United Church of Christ, 18818 N. 128th Ave.
The event, a lecture and question and answer forum, is part of the annual Sawitski Memorial Lecture Series. The Rev. Rachel Hackenberg will deliver the keynote presentation joined by Tina Datsko De Sánchez reading original poetry. Webinar participants will have the opportunity to submit questions for the Rev. Hackenberg.
The Rev. Hackenberg is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ serving as publisher for The Pilgrim Press. She is the author of several books including “Denial Is My Spiritual Practice” and has been the keynote speaker for international faith conferences.
