Early voting is underway for the Surprise Tuesday, Aug. 4 primary election.

Mail-in ballots were initially sent out Wednesday, July 8 for the primary, which has the mayor seat and four city council positions up for grabs.

Mayor Skip Hall and District 4 Councilman Ken Remley are running unopposed. There are two-person races in Districts 2 and 5. Write-in candidates also qualified for mayor and District 5.

For voting, Surprise City Hall is a designated Voting Center. The City Hall Community Room will be open for voting through Election Day for any Maricopa County resident to cast a ballot in person.

To access the Community Room, enter through the north or south entrance to City Hall at the Mayor’s Atrium (eastern end of the building). The other entrances will be closed as all City Hall service counters are currently closed to walk-up service.
