Dysart Unified School District canceled the traditional in-person graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it's honoring seniors from the four high schools with virtual graduation ceremonies.
Videos for each school are now available online for the following schools:
“It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge that the statewide resurgence of COVID-19 will not allow us to hold an in-person graduation ceremony for our 2020 graduates," the DUSD officials wrote by email. "When we initially rescheduled the ceremonies, we were extremely hopeful that health and safety conditions for large gatherings would improve by this time, but unfortunately that is not the case.”
Each high school will participate in a drive-through graduation celebration June 30 with an opportunity to take photos and receive a diploma.
