The Dysart Education Foundation recently announced that college scholarship applications are being accepted through March 1.
Graduating seniors from Dysart, Shadow Ridge, Valley Vista and Willow Canyon high schools are invited to apply.
DEF supports learning beyond a student’s K-12 experience.
Each graduating senior may submit one application to be eligible for multiple scholarships from DEF administered by the Arizona Community Foundation.
DEF, along with local donors, will award 19 students with a total of $90,500 in scholarship funds. Students graduating from the four high schools in the district are encouraged to apply.
DEF offers one- and two-year scholarships. Students attending a trade school, community college or university may apply to receive any one of the scholarships.
The recipients will be notified via email by March 31. The student recipients and their parents/guardians will be invited to attend the fifth annual Dysart Education Foundation Awards Dinner on Wednesday, April 19 to accept their scholarships.
Student scholarship recipients are responsible for keeping ACF informed of all current information concerning home address, emails, class schedules, GPA, and transcripts.
A separate link will be provided via email from DEF to students in December 2023, May 2024, and December 2024 to update the organization and its scholarship donors each semester. Failure to provide required documents may result in the loss of the scholarship.
2023 sponsors include:
• DEF/Subaru Share the Love
• Southwest Foodservice Excellence
• Dysart High School Alumni
• The Grand Opportunity
• Dr. Gail Pletnick Education Award
• Tyrus Timbrooks Memorial Scholarship (Dysart High School students only)
The Dysart Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization supporting students and teachers in the Dysart Unified School District.
