Dysart CTE programs get online display

Virtual Career Expo to spotlight each high school

The Dysart Unified School District will have its annual Career Expo virtually this year on Facebook Live.

The Career Expo gives parents and students the opportunity to explore all the Career and Technical Education programs DUSD schools offer, ask questions, and experience virtual tours of the classrooms.

Each high school will have their own night to showcase their programs. This event is recommended for fifth- through 11th-grade students and parents, but all are welcome to join.

Open enrollment is available, so parents and students should attend one or more events based on student interests rather than their home school.

Career expos are scheduled as follows:

• Dysart High School — 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29.

CTE Programs featured: Business & marketing, graphic design, network technologies, digital photography, film & TV production, automotive technology, sports medicine , internships.

• Shadow Ridge High School — 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.
CTE Programs featured: Business & marketing, software & app design, digital communications, graphic design, computer animation, education professions, engineering, architecture, sports medicine, internships.

• Valley Vista High School — 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.
CTE Programs featured: Business & marketing, graphic design, computer maintenance, computer animation, film & TV production, law & public safety, fire science, culinary arts, sports medicine, stagecraft design (new), internships.

• Willow Canyon High School — 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.
CTE Programs featured: Business & marketing, software & app design, graphic design, film & TV production, sports medicine, laboratory assisting, stagecraft design (new), nursing professions (new), internships.
