Details have been released for alternative graduation plans for Dysart Unified School District students.

The district will show virtual graduation ceremony videos on Monday, June 29, featuring principals and student speakers, and stage drive-through celebration ceremonies a day later.

DUSD was forced to cancel the in-person ceremonies twice, the last one which was scheduled for June 30 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

District Governing Board President Jay Leonard and each student’s name will be read during the virtual graduation.

The graduation video will be released 11 a.m. Monday, June 29 on the district’s Youtube Channel @DysartUSD.

The direct links are as follows:

During the celebrations, students can wear caps and gowns and will be able to receive a diploma, a diploma cover and ceremony programs. Additionally, each graduate will be able to get out of the vehicle to have a photo taken with the cap and gown and diploma from 3 to 7 p.m. June 30.

When Shadow Ridge High School, 10909 N. Perryville Road, holds its drive-through graduation celebration, students will be assigned a window of time, based on last name.

The celebration at Dysart High School, 11425 N. Dysart Road, will take place from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

Willow Canyon High School, 17901 W. Lundberg St., will hold its celebration from 5 to 8 p.m.

Valley Vista High School, 15550 N. Parkview Place, will take part in the drive-through event from 5 to 9 p.m.
