DUSD is a top employer for community

Posted

Did you know that with more than 2,700 staff members the Dysart Unified School District is the largest employer in the city of Surprise and El Mirage? We not only train our future workforce of nearly 24,000 students, but also employ many in our local neighborhoods.

As a district, we are extremely proud to be such an integral part of this community, attracting jobs and economic opportunities to the area.

DUSD is an extraordinary place to work. Dysart truly has something for everyone and seeks to hire diverse and passionate educators, support staff and administrators that exercise a love for learning every day.

We have positions ranging from crossing guard to child care aide and mechanic to teacher. Some of our highly sought after positions include special education teachers and paraprofessionals, speech language pathologists, math and science teachers. And we always have a high need for bus drivers and bus aides.

Dysart offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefit package designed to meet the needs of all employees that includes medical, dental, vision, Arizona State Retirement, flexible spending account (FSA), employee assistance plan (EAP), professional development and training.

One of the often forgotten benefits of working for a school district includes the work calendar. We have many parents that work for us that appreciate the convenience of having the same calendar, hours and days off as their children. We are proud that so many of our employees send their children to our schools, a testament to the trust our staff has in the district.

The district has been recognized both nationally and internationally with AdvancED Accreditation and is home to numerous award-winning teachers, administrators and staff. Zippia.com named Dysart the Best Company to Work for in Surprise for the last three years, the #10 Best Education Company to work for in Arizona in 2020 and Dysart was named a Best Company to Work for by Talentdesk.com in 2019.

Our employee wellness program has also won many accolades. Dysart took first place for the second year in a row in the Wellness Council of Arizona’s Annual Corporate Challenge.

If you’re looking for a great career, I encourage you to look no further. Visit Dysart.org/careers to learn more about our winning team of innovative and career-focused educators.

We would love to have you join our #DysartExtraordinary team.
