Duffy routs Norberg in District 3

Posted

District 3 voters are giving a ringing endorsement to Patrick Duffy for Surprise City Council.

In unofficial results, Mr. Duffy earned 68% of the vote to more than double challenger Greg Norberg (31%). Out of the 4,572 ballots cast in results posted by the Maricopa County Recorders Office, Mr. Duffy has received 2,891 votes so far.

Mr. Duffy appears to have earned his first full term after winning a special election in 2018. He was initially appointed to the seat in 2017 when John Williams resigned.

District 3 serves Prasada and the southwest part of Surprise.

All results are preliminary until all of the ballots dropped off at City Hall on Election Day and all provisional ballots are counted.

The Maricopa County Elections Department is expected to release a final ballot tally by Monday, Aug. 24.
