Connors: It’s an age for miracles

Stuart Wilde’s book, Miracles, was published by Hay House way back in 1983 as the Human Potential Movement was being overshadowed by a shift to material success.
Abraham Maslow’s idea of self-actualization dropped off the Top 10 Chart of popular ideas and activities. It looked then like America’s North Star shifted to greed.
Not to worry. That trend morphed into the decade of the “brain” and a growing interest in neuroscience.
The outcome? A new focus on meditation, breathwork, the creative power of thought and creativity itself. Moving forward from the idea of self-actualization came the focus on spiritual actualization or self-actualization. That is exactly where the miracles are.
While laboratories in the current Neo Human Potential Movement experiment with artificial intelligence, spiritual actualization brings the integration of science and spirituality. People like Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Thich Nhat Hahn, Ram Dass and Dr. Joe Dispenza brought and are still bringing to the forefront what Jesus and other spiritual masters taught: “you are the light of the world,” “make of yourself a light.”
In other words, you are empowered to create a life that you love as well as be a blessing in our world.
Miracles are part of self-actualizing the power within you and all around you. English mathematician and philosopher Alfred North Whitehead noted that the teleology of the universe is directed toward the production of Beauty.
Think beautiful mind, beautiful heart, beautiful actions. May this new year inspire all people to create beauty inside and outside. May the exquisite character of greatness within you shine light out into our world to create a new era of peace and beautiful expressions of goodness and love.
That is a miracle to envision and pray for.
