Community grant money available in Surprise

Surprise is accepting applications for nonprofits

The city of Surprise announce the Community Outreach Program is now accepting applications for grant funding.

This city council-led initiative was created to help support nonprofit community organizations working to enhance the quality of life for Surprise residents through programming and events.

To be considered, applicants must be 501(c)3 organizations or partners with 501(c)3 verified agencies.

The maximum award per applicant is $10,000. The awarded funds will be distributed by reimbursement through an invoice process.

Organizations interested in the program can find the application, complete program details and eligibility requirements at surpriseaz.gov/CommunityOutreachProgram.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, May 9 and should be submitted electronically using the city of Surprise participant portal.

A pre-application meeting is mandatory for all new applicants and is available to all returning applicants. The meetings will include information about the program and the application process.

An in-person meeting is set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 27 at Surprise City Hall Community Room, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza.

A virtual meeting is at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3. Registration is required.
