The pavement around Surprise City Hall, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza, is getting freshened up.
The city has scheduled pavement preservation work around City Hall for the next two weekends — Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25.
The plan calls for seal coating on Paradise Lane, Terra Buena Lane, Civic Center Drive and Statler Boulevard.
Work will be done each of the scheduled days from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The first span to go will be east and westbound Statler Boulevard and Litchfield Road to Paradise Lane/Tierra Buena Lane on Oct. 17.
The Oct. 18 work will include Paradise Lane and Civic Center Drive to the Surprise Fire-Medical north parking area. Northbound Civic Center will also be preserved from Paradise to Elm Street and Greenway Road to Tierra Buena.
The second weekend will start with work on Paradise and Bullard Avenue to Civic Center Drive on Oct. 24. Crew will also preserve southbound Civic Center from Elm to Paradise.
The final day of work, Oct. 25, will include Tierra Buena from Bullard to Civic Center and southbound Civic Center from Tierra Buena to Greenway.
