Benevilla teams up with ‘CARS’

People can re-purpose vehicles

Posted

For the first time, Benevilla officials will give residents the chance to support charitable programs and services through vehicle donations.

Benevilla, 16752 N. Greasewood St., is now partnered with Charitable Adult Rides and Services to offer community members a new and meaningful way to support charitable programs and services through a donation of a car, truck, motorcycle, recreational vehicle or boat.

This partnership with CARS offers donors an easy way to re-purpose any unwanted vehicles. Donating a vehicle is easy, can be tax-deductible and avoids the hassles of selling or the costs of repairing a vehicle altogether.

“There are so many individuals in this community looking to get rid of a vehicle because they are no  longer driving or have a spare vehicle in their household,” Sara Villanueva, Benevilla vice president of donor relations, said. “This program provides an easy, hassle-free solution all while supporting the work Benevilla does in our community.”

Jay Lickus, Benevilla marketing coordinator, said CARS has the largest network of vendors with more than 400 local and national resale partners, complementary marketing support, two in-house call centers and a full-service account management team.

“All this gives us the greatest chance of attracting donors and making the entire process quick and easy for them. Obviously, a simple way to donate combined with a higher benefit to the person donating creates a win-win where we get more donations and greater value for the vehicles donated,” he added.

The CARS program makes donating a car easy. Pick-up arrangement of the vehicle donation cost the individual nothing. Most vehicles can be picked up within 24 to 72 hours. An initial car donation receipt will be given upon pick-up. Once the vehicle is sold, proper tax forms will be given.

Customer service representatives are available seven days per week to assist throughout the process.

CARS is the largest nonprofit vehicle donation provider and a trusted partner to more than 3,500 other nonprofits in North America. To initiate a donation of a vehicle to support Benevilla, contact CARS at 855-500-7433 or visit careasy.org/home.
