Benevilla has announced its schedule of free educational events for caregivers and senior community members looking for information and resources, taking place throughout the second half of 2020.

Included in the schedule are the popular “Educate with the Experts” interactive informational workshops as well as financial and estate planning seminars. All Benevilla educational events feature expert speakers covering a wide variety of senior care topics.

From in-home care options and hospice to estate preparation and tax tips, participants will receive valuable information from subject-matter experts who can address individual questions as well. Here is a look at the event schedule:

  • Aug. 19: Alphabet Soup: AL, IL, MC, SNF – What Do They All Mean?
  • Sept. 16: Independence is Key! – Options for Remaining Independent at Home.
  • Oct. 14: The Big Difference: Hospice vs. Palliative Care.
  • Oct. 27: Tax Planning for this Chaotic Time.
  • Nov. 12: How to Invest During Uncertainty.
  • Dec. 2: All About Arizona State Tax Credits.
  • Dec. 16: Get Your “Docs” in a Row.

Pending any significant changes to the government-sanctioned social distancing mandates, Benevilla is inviting residents to join online for the workshops as live stream, online video events in order to mitigate the risk of public exposure to COVID-19. Benevilla realizes the senior population is the most vulnerable to the coronavirus.

Benevilla will use the Zoom audio/video conference platform to host the live presentations.

These events are free, but reservations are required. When registered for an event, guests will be asked to give an email address and will then be provided a link and password to attend via Zoom.

Call Benevilla at 623-584-4999 or visit Benevilla.org/community-events to register. For those without Internet access, on-site availability may be an option for limited group sizes. Updated information will follow as things progress.
