Benevilla estate planning workshop on Zoom March 16

Benevilla will host a free estate planning workshop with Attorney Mary A. Nykamp at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16 via the Zoom online platform.

She will discuss the importance of updating your estate plan for future uncertainties. This includes an overview of trusts, wills, powers of attorney and navigating possible tax law changes at this free workshop titled “A Time of Uncertainty: The Importance of Updating Your Estate Plan and Planning for the Future.”

Ms. Nykamp, an attorney with Jeckel & Nykamp P.L.L.C. attended Arizona State University where she received a Bachelor of Social Work degree, cum laude, in 1979. She then attended the University of Arizona where she received a Juris Doctor in 1982. She practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, guardianships, and conservatorships.

Ms. Nykamp is a member of the American Bar Association, the Arizona Bar Association, and the Maricopa County Bar Association. She served as a member on the Executive Committee of the Maricopa County Bar Association Estate Planning Section.

She was a board member of Sun Health Foundation for more than ten years. She has spoken on behalf of the Arizona Attorney General's office regarding elder abuse.  In addition, she was an instructor at Arizona Paralegal Institute.
