A job fair for experienced nurses and emergency department techs will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 4 at the new Abrazo Surprise Hospital near Bell Road and Loop 303.
The hospital, slated to open later this summer, has openings for registered nurses and emergency department techs with at least two years of experience. Recruiters and hiring leaders will be onsite for interviews during the job fair. Abrazo Surprise Hospital is at 16815 West Bell Road in Surprise.
Abrazo Health has implemented COVID-19 safety standards in its hospitals to offer peace of mind for those receiving emergency care or elective surgery, and job fair attendees will be screened prior to entering the building.
“We will be hosting an RN and ED Tech hiring blitz on Thursday, June 4. In an effort to keep everyone safe we ask that you bring face mask with you and there will be a health care practitioner at the entrance to check your temperature and screen everyone for COVID symptoms,” said Abrazo Nurse Recruiter Vanessa Telford.
Abrazo Surprise Hospital will provide emergency care and surgical services. Designed as a neighborhood hospital focused on quality healthcare, convenience and efficiency, the facility is smaller in scale than a typical general hospital.
Like its larger sister hospital Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, it will include an ER, surgical suite, private inpatient rooms, X-ray, CT, laboratory and other services.
The hospital is expected to provide more than 50 full-time equivalent clinical and support staff jobs. The hospital will open later this year following completion of required licensure, hospital officials stated.
Abrazo Surprise Hospital will be the second of three Abrazo neighborhood hospitals in the Valley. Abrazo Mesa Hospital opened in October and construction recently began for Abrazo Cave Creek Hospital. The single-story neighborhood hospitals are sometimes referred to as microhospitals.
