Les Curry

Posted

Les, 71, a Sun City resident since 2016, died suddenly on October 2, 2021 in Taos, NM, while vacationing with his wife Helen.
In addition to Helen, he is survived by his daughter, Rhea Hill; his son, Zane Curry; his grandson, Luka Curry; his brother, Arden; along with many dear friends from around the world who shared a life of adventure with a truly one-of-a-kind spirit.
Les and Helen loved traveling around the country, but appreciated more and more the life they shared in Sun City. Les loved spending time at home with his family and having dinner and game night with friends. He loved taking care of his home and garden, and his colorful bushes and fruit trees gave him so much joy. Those who knew him well are sure to smile when reflecting on how bright his light would shine when he was centered in joy.
From his days as a cabinet and furniture maker in Taos, NM, to his days as a sea captain with a home base of Galveston, TX, where he was born and raised, and countless other interests and pursuits, Les approached his goals with an adept understanding of what needed to be done and accomplished tasks with the utmost vision, skill and artistry.
To honor our dearly departed Lesley Curry, please find love and joy in your life and share them freely.
