A workshop featuring an in-depth look at dementia and how it affects lives will be Friday, Nov. 18, at Bellevue Heights Church, 9440 W. Hutton Drive.
Everyone is invited to attend the session 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Franklin Hall. There is no charge for attending the event, which also includes lunch.
Reservations are required and must be made by calling the church office, 623-977-8308, no later than Nov. 13.
Titled “The Truth About Dementia: What Doctors Won’t Tell You,” the workshop will be led by Shelly Drews, a senior healthcare professional and advocate. She is owner of Help My Senior and serves as Regional Outreach and Education Specialist for Heritage Communities.
By educating families of seniors, Drews believes they can become empowered to make informed decisions for their loved ones, along with important choices that can determine their quality of life in the future.
The workshop is sponsored by Women’s Ministries at Bellevue Heights Church.
