The West Valley Chorale, under the direction of Ken Goodenberger, announces the sixth annual Young Singers Competition. Cash prizes up to $2,000 will be awarded to winners. Prize money is raised from patrons attending concerts and supporters.
High school juniors and seniors from throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area school districts are eligible and encouraged to compete. A video, headshot and “Application of Intent” (available at westvalleychoraleaz.org/west-valley-young-singers-competition/) must be submitted by email to YSCEntries@westvalleychoraleaz.org. The submission deadline is Saturday, Oct. 4.
Semifinalists will be invited to sing in the final competition Oct. 19 at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd. A professional accompanist is provided.

The West Valley Chorale is a Surprise 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization comprised of auditioned singers from eleven communities throughout Phoenix and the West Valley.
